CUSTOM CAKES

1. How do I place an order?

• Please fill out the details on the inquiry form or send us an email with your requirements: hello@thecakecreative.com.au.
• Please note that the majority
  of your consultation will take place over email.

2. How much notice is required on custom orders (custom cakes and custom cookies)?

• For custom orders, we require booking and payment at least one week prior to delivery.
• If your order is complex in nature or we require special equipment to complete your design we will need 2-3 weeks’ notice.
• For wedding’s we recommend you contact us to book at least 1-2 months in advance.

3. Can I design my own cake or send in an image of my design?

• We are happy to accept design inspiration but please note we cannot replicate another cake decorators work.

4. Can I make changes to my order?

• Changes and cancellations can be made up to 1 week before your
  delivery.
• However, deposits are non-refundable if you choose to cancel 1 week before delivery/pick up.

5. Do your products contain allergens?

• Please be advised that our products may contain or come into contact with peanuts, tree nuts or other allergens.

6. Do you offer delivery for custom orders?

• Yes, we can deliver to your venue or to a residential address across Sydney metropolitan. Delivery is:
• $25.00 all throughout Sydney Metro.
• If delivering to a venue we require that you advise the venue staff of the expected delivery, including day and approximate time.
• Once your order is delivered we cannot take responsibility for any damage caused by outside party mishandling or storage.

6. Custom Cake Deliveries

• For custom orders we provide a pick up or delivery option (for Sydney metropolitan)
• Our deliveries occur between 8-11am Wednesday, Fridays and weekends.
• If you require delivery outside of these hours please contact us so that we can try and accomodate.
• Pickup times to be booked with 72 hours notice.

7. Storage

• Fondant covered cakes, should be kept in a cool, dry place until
  required and should never be refrigerated as this will cause your fondant to sweat and melt.
• Buttercream cakes, should be kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If refrigerated we recommend taking it out of the fridge 2 hours before cutting.

8. Edible decorations

• We always aim to make all our cake decorations edible unless otherwise advised.
• Please note that in some instances our larger, more complex edible cake toppers may contain skewers or wire for product integrity so we ask that you take caution if consuming them or giving them to someone else to consume
  especially children.

FONDANT COOKIE BOXES AND CAKE DECORATIONS & TOPPERS

1. Do you offer shipping for cookie boxes and cake decorations and toppers?

• Yes, we offer shipping Australia wide on some products. Shipping is via Australia Post and as such we cannot guarantee an exact delivery date.
• Standard shipping is a flat rate of $14.95 for all orders under 5 kilos. For larger orders, additional charges may apply.

2. How long do your cookies last?

• All our cookies are baked fresh and heat sealed, as a result they will last up to 2-3 months.
• If you require cookies for an event we advise you order in advance of the event date in case of any postage delays. 
  

3. Edible decorations

• We always aim to make all our cake decorations edible unless otherwise advised.
• Please note that in some instances our larger, more complex edible cake toppers may contain skewers or wire for product integrity so we ask that you take caution if consuming them or giving them to someone else to consume especially children.

4. Storage

• Cookies should be kept in their original heat sealed packaging until consumed. Do not refrigerate.
• Fondant decorations should be kept away from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not refrigerate.
  
  

Terms and Conditions - Custom orders

(1) We require a deposit of 50% to secure your booking and date.

(2) Full payment must be received 7 days prior to your event date.

(3) We require 7 days’ notice from your event day for any changes.

Other

(4) Quality and satisfaction is very important to us, if you have any issues with your order please email us on hello@thecakecreative.com.au

Please note, if your products are unsatisfactory you may be asked to return them for quality testing prior to any replacement or refund can be issued.

(5) We cannot accept returns on any of our edible products for change of mind

(6) Getting your shipped items on time is our priority but we cannot
take responsibility for any delays by Australia Post. If, in doubt we recommend selecting an earlier dispatch day to allow a few extra says for delivery.

(7) We reserve the right to cancel or not accept an order if we are not able to meet your requirements or delivery date. We will do our best to advise you of this within 24 hours of your order date.
